A Good Samaritan located a bundle on the side of the roadway. This bundle was a rolled up blanket that actually contained a puppy – which puppy was close to death.

Later on named Harris, the weak puppy was just skin and bones. He was hurried to the clinical center at the Stray Rescue of Saint Louis (SR).

Sadly, it was obvious that Harris had not been just deserted. He was seriously neglected and abused. What possesses a human to hurt such a gorgeous creature is beyond us. Thankfully there are WAY more good people in this world than there are bad. As you will see, Harris makes a great deal of buddies along the way that will certainly stop at nothing that will certainly lead him to a pleased, healthy life.

Harris was initially unresponsive when he came in. His injuries were dealt with by clinical staff and he was given intravenous fluids and pain medications. The volunteers sat beside him and waited for the precious kid to respond. It was now a waiting game.

Knowing that having a fighting spirit and remaining mentally strong is a big part of healing, the team at SR made Harris a sign to remind him that he is liked, that his life matters, and most of all, that he is brave!

As time went on and it was obvious Harris wasn’t responding well, a sanctuary volunteer decided to sleep with him for assistance. See! We told you there are way more great people in this world than bad!

At first, Harris needed to have a feeding tube put in– but just a couple of days later, he was able to lift his head up and consume on his very own! Check him out! What a little fighter!

Then, what seems like a blink of an eye, little Harris is sitting up and getting a bath! Look at how darn cute this guy is. That bottom lip is just too much !!!

Before you know it, Harris takes his first steps. What a miracle! He has assistance but soon after, as you’ll see in the video clip listed below, he walks all by himself!

Each day, Harris surprises the rescue volunteers with new accomplishments. They truly weren’t certain if he would make it. Obviously, they hoped, of course, they never ever quit– but each time Harris completed something, his human buddies were amazed. They continued to call him a miracle. And for sure, he is!

Then … like the miracle canine he is, Harris RUNS!

Harris keeps on making his rescuers proud. He’s full of smiles– and currently, he’s full of even more confidence. He’s still recovery but nobody doubts that he will certainly make a COMPLETE healing and locate the perfect forever home.
