For six beautiful years, Anna Halcin and her loyal dog, Sebastian, shared an unbreakable bond. Through life’s highs and lows, Sebastian always brought joy to Halcin’s face.
“He was truly unique, and our bond was deep,” Halcin shared with The Dodo. “He was my best friend.”
One of the adorable ways Sebastian showed his affection was by wrapping his paws around Halcin’s arm. “It felt like he was giving me a little hug,” Halcin remembered.

But all good things come to an end. Last October, Halcin faced the heart-wrenching loss of Sebastian.
Amid her sadness, Halcin thought of a touching way to keep Sebastian close. “I wanted something permanent, a tattoo felt right,” Halcin expressed.

She decided on a tattoo that depicted Sebastian’s signature hug.
Now, every time Halcin sees her tattoo, it feels as though Sebastian is right there, embracing her. “It’s comforting, and it helps me feel connected to him,” she said.

Sebastian’s presence, though missed, still brings smiles to Halcin’s face. And through a tattoo dedicated to him, his memory touches others as well.

After sharing her tattoo on an online pet loss group, Halcin received an outpour of love and support. Many even shared pictures of their dogs that looked like Sebastian.

“Every time I see those photos, it feels like Sebastian’s way of saying, ‘Hello, Mom,’” Halcin reflected. Sebastian’s legacy of love continues.
