In a surprising turn of events in Cleveland, Texas, a local resident stumbled upon an unfamiliar sight at their post office.
A cardboard box, left open and tilted, bore the message “Free Puppy.” Though the box was vacant, its previous occupants were nearby.
Two adorable German shepherd-mix puppies were found resting peacefully beneath the line of mailboxes.
Toni Taylor took to Facebook to share, “These two GSD-mix puppies were left at some PO boxes in Cleveland, Texas. They’re around 14 to 16 weeks old.”

A compassionate individual, unaware of how long these puppies had been there, noticed their dire hunger. Taylor mentioned, “In their desperation, they consumed paper and rocks.”
As the scorching summer sun grew harsher, this kind-hearted person decided to rescue the puppies.

However, they could only provide shelter for a limited time. With assistance from local canine enthusiasts like Toni Taylor and Zully Vasquez Ventura, an exhaustive search began for a suitable foster home willing to accommodate both puppies.

A big thank you to them! I’ll be transporting the pups to their foster home tonight.”
