Maggie once faced with many sad days, finally found happiness when she met her new forever family. Now, she loves to show her affection by hugging them all the time.

Mary and Mark McCraw had lost their dear dog, Mischka, just a short while ago. They weren’t sure if they were ready for another dog. But when they met Maggie, everything changed.

“When I saw Maggie, she touched my heart,” said Mary to The Dodo. “We missed our old dog a lot. I just wanted to meet Maggie, not bring a dog home. But I felt a strong connection.”

The group, Halfway There Rescue, set up this special meeting. As soon as Mary got close to Maggie, the dog instantly warmed up to her.

“When I knelt down, she jumped into my lap. We felt like she was meant to be with us,” Mary added.

Before all this happiness, Maggie had a tough life. She wasn’t treated well and was used just for having puppies.

A kind rescue group took her in and gave her to a loving temporary home. After she got better and stronger, she was ready for a new home.

Andra Mack, who looked after Maggie for a while, shared with The Dodo, “Maggie is one of the kindest dogs we’ve looked after. When she first met the McCraws, it felt like a special moment from a movie.”

Seeing Maggie with the McCraws, Andra knew it was a perfect fit. Maggie kept hugging them, as if saying “thank you.”

Andra felt, “They were perfect for each other. Watching them together, it felt like their old dog, Mischka, was watching over them and smiling.”

Mary and Mark feel the same way. They said that Maggie has brought so much happiness into their lives. “Maggie is so full of love. She makes our lives so much better,” Mary said with a smile.
