Not long ago, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado joyfully reported the recruitment of two irresistibly charming new officers — K9 Bear and K9 Otis — set to serve as therapy dogs at local schools.
To celebrate this milestone, the charming duo even posed for a professional photo shoot, wearing their little vests and badges too.
But looks like joining the force can truly take it out of you.
Of the recent recruits, black Lab Otis seems to display a zestful persona.
Chocolate Lab Bear appears somewhat more restrained in his demeanor.

This contrast in their energy levels was also very obvious throughout their formal swearing-in event.
Surrounded by an audience and amidst the pomp and ceremony, Otis was being a vivacious pup, only pausing momentarily to offer his paw as he took the oath.
In contrast, Bear looked a touch sleepy, struggling occasionally to stay awake during his and Otis’ big day. Although in Bear’s defense, he managed to rally just enough to initiate a playful puppy fight.
At only 8 weeks old, seems like they are the youngest members who have taken an oath at the Sheriff’s Office!
With a bit of luck, K9 Bear and K9 Otis will enjoy lengthy and rewarding careers as they provide comfort and joy to the local school kids, each with their unique personalities.
“We hope you’ll cherish them as much as we do!” expressed the sheriff’s office.
Honestly, it really seems impossible not to adore them.
