Introducing Mr. Muggles, an extraordinary dog with a heartwarming tale. Born with hydrocephalus, where spinal fluid exerts pressure on the brain, his skull didn’t develop completely.
Consequently, his breeder relinquished him. This is when the heroes at Road Dogs, a rescue group, intervened.

A dedicated volunteer from Road Dogs rejuvenated Mr. Muggles’ health until his foster mother, Bella, embraced him. The story takes a turn when Mr. Muggles discovers his permanent home with Blake.
Blake undertook a 17-hour journey from Los Angeles to Seattle to welcome him, as flying isn’t an option for hydrocephalic dogs due to brain pressure.

The severity of hydrocephalus varies among dogs. Mr. Muggles, despite his developmental challenges, exudes warmth, joy, and an irresistible urge to snuggle on laps.
Yet, the openings on his head’s crown make him vulnerable to injuries. This is where Blake’s innovative spirit shines.

With expertise in automotives, Blake envisioned a tailored helmet for Mr. Muggles. Recognizing the lack of cushioning in most dog helmets, Blake meticulously crafted a helmet for Mr. Muggles, integrating padding for enhanced safety.
This prototype helmet is just the beginning, with Blake aiming for further refinements. The helmet serves dual purposes: safeguarding Mr. Muggles and granting Blake the serenity of knowing his cherished pet is shielded from potential dangers.

In spite of his health challenges, Mr. Muggles radiates positivity and zest for life. His mere presence can brighten up any day.
For Blake, nurturing special needs dogs like Mr. Muggles, his second ‘hydro dog’, is a mission. These “lovable lemons” or “underdogs” deserve all the love and joy, and aiding them in their journey is a profound joy in itself.
