Malamute Puppy’s Charming Introduction to Baby ‘Brother’ Gets 1M Views in 24 Hours

Alaskan Malamutes have a reputation for being fantastic companions for children. They’re not just loyal and smart; they’re incredibly affectionate, playful, and have a special fondness for youngsters.

Take, for instance, Teddy, Niko, and Phil. These three Malamutes shared a home with their humans and a cat even before the arrival of their human siblings.

The dogs’ initial encounter with baby Amelia was nothing short of heartwarming.

Many might hesitate to introduce such large breeds to newborns, but the well-trained trio showcased their gentle nature and excitement perfectly.

Teddy’s introduction to Amelia was particularly touching. He seemed intrigued, inspecting this little human, smelling her, and even giving her gentle licks.

Before long, they were inseparable – playing, snuggling, and mirroring each other’s actions. A memorable moment was when Amelia cheekily took Teddy’s tennis ball, leading to a playful chase.

Their bond was evident, with Teddy even becoming a comfortable resting spot for Amelia.

Alaskan Malamutes are inherently pack-oriented, which can be a blessing when they recognize humans as their leaders.

This trust was evident when baby Nathan joined the family. Despite Teddy’s considerable size by then, the parents had no reservations.

Introductions were made carefully, with the dogs following every instruction. The sight of them tenderly interacting with Nathan highlighted their unwavering gentleness.

Over time, the Malamutes took on more responsibilities with the babies. Teddy, in particular, learned to rock Nathan to sleep with his paw.

Even in the quiet moments when Nathan seemed to babble, Teddy was a patient listener, offering silent companionship.
