One heartbreaking video captures the exact moment that one owner made the apathetic option to chuck his canine out of the car as though he were garbage.
Thankfully, the tale has a happy finishing as the little pooch ended up getting adopted less than 24 hours after the clip of his abandonment went viral.
Joy Dominguez was out running errands when she noticed something on the side of the road. That is when she went out her phone and started recording the tragic video clip which showed the canine obtaining left on the side of the road.
The video clip showed the puppy, a beautiful husky, being left on the side of the road by its proprietor. The young man was seen getting out of the car, unleashing his canine, and then returning into the car. Without a second look back, he repelled in the direction of Horizon City, Texas.
The bad dog chased his proprietor’s vehicle, but the man did not slow down or pick up the poor animal. It was really a heartbreaking watch.
The El Paso County Constable’s Office shared a statement in which the claimed, “These crimes versus our voiceless animal victims are taken seriously and we actively look for to hold suspects accountable for these cruel acts.”
After being rescued, the little husky was required to the veterinarian. Fortunately, he turned out to be in good health and was taken by a pet rescue team where he was immediately put up for adoption. Word had gone out about the pup’s ordeal, and within 24 hours he had a brand new permanently family.
The dog was adopted by the Clappsaddle family and was given the name Nanook– inspiration drawn from the 1987 movie, The Lost Boys. Nanook is now a happy little guy that is living his finest life– just like any dog should be able to.
After seeing the heartbreaking video of Nanook’s abandonment, the internet was flooded with comments from individuals who were angered and disturbed by his previous proprietor’s rough discard of the sweet dog.
One remark read, “Teared up seeing him run after them, wondering why they weren’t taking him with them.”
Somebody else wrote, “This happens more often than you could imagine. I grew up on a farm outside a major city and the variety of animals that were dumped at the end of our driveway would certainly make you really angry.”
But one bright side that everybody could agree on, was that Nanook certainly got lucky with a loving family who will certainly never harm him again.
According to KTSM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Workplace recognized both people who deserted the canine as 68-year-old Luis Antonio Campos and 17-year-old Moises Soto. They’re facing criminal charges for ruthlessness to non-livestock animals and abandonment.
