The 8-year-old German Shepherd was so injured that its tail had to be amputated. SATELLITE BEACH, Fla.– A Florida sheriff claims he has no worry taking your butt to jail if you injure an animal in his county.

It’s the least of what Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey composed on Facebook while describing a terrible act of animal cruelty– so much so that he claimed it’s probably among the most awful cases in his 39 years of law enforcement.

A disabled veteran had his service canine, a German Shepherd called “TT,” established for a brushing appointment. James Cordell Doughty Suthann was tasked to take care of the 8-year-old dog.

Video clip informs the rest of the tale, Ivey claimed: The contract worker got upset when the canine would certainly not stall. The sheriff wrote Suthann grabbed TT’s head down “so tight that the canine could no more move and was clearly in pain.”

At one point, Ivey said he saw Suthann raise the canine up by its tail– and off the ground, creating her to spin a complete 360 levels. The tail became broken to the extent it could not be reattached.

Suthann had not been done there, the sheriff claimed, as he took the nozzle used to bathe the dog and struck it in the rear of the head.

“The video clip is so visuals that I will certainly not publish it on Facebook, but believe me when I tell you that it is one of the most difficult things I have ever needed to watch in my 39 years of Law Enforcement because of the terrible and cruel way the pet was treated,” Ivey wrote.

TT went through emergency surgery to amputate its tail and is recovering. Its proprietor is devastated, the sheriff said.

Prison records show Suthann is booked on a felony charge of cruelty to animals.

“Sadly, the maximum bond that could be put on Suthann was $2,000.00, because they don’t let me directly set the bond amounts for bad guys such as this guy!!” Ivey composed.

The grooming service’s owners did not know Suthann was capable of such actions and “took instant and appropriate activity to have him no more at their facility,” he added.
