Lucy and Sully are as faithful as they come. They satisfied at a sanctuary and became good friends, also going to a foster home together. When someone was seeking to adopt Lucy, it was explained that these 2 were a package deal, so the lady adopted them both!
Not much is learnt about their histories. Redhead Lucy concerned the sanctuary when she was a few years old, and Sully was just a puppy when he arrived. They hit it off, and Lucy loved Sully as if he was her very own son.
Seven years ago, Alaina Brinton said goodbye to her senior dog, and prepared to open her heart to somebody new a few months later. Lucy caught her eye, so she called the sanctuary to see about meeting her.
” I saw a photo of Lucy at my local gentle society and just needed to meet her,” Brinton told The Dodo. “When I called, they said that she ‘d been fostered with one more dog and they would certainly such as for me to also meet her buddy. I figured there wouldn’t be any type of injury in seeing both.”.
She certainly hadn’t set out to adopt two dogs, but recognized how close Lucy and Sully were, and knew they would certainly be ruined to be without each other. This wasn’t really a problem, since after meeting him, Brinton was charmed by Sully, too.
” I fell in love right away. Besides, it was obvious Sully was looking to Lucy to show him what points were or weren’t alright, and I wouldn’t have had the heart to divide them up.”.
Both dogs were nervous in their new home, and greatly relied on each other to survive the frightening change.
” The same way they feed off of each other’s excitement, they also fed off of each other’s expanding comfort,” Brinton explained. “They cleared up in with each other, and figured out the brand-new routine like a team. It was perfect, and I think it was a much easier change for each of them because of the company of the other.”.
It’s been seven years because they were adopted, and their love is still going strong. Whether it concerns playing, lazing about, or snoozing in their Kentucky home, these 2 do it together.
” They’re buddies permanently. Anytime they’re clearing up in together, Lucy will give Sully a couple of licks on his forehead and he simply appears like he’s so pleased.”.
The only time they aren’t attached at the tail is when they go to the canine park and Sully wants to run around. But also after that, they aren’t apart for more than a couple of minutes at a time.
” When he’s roaming around the dog park, Sully will come back and look at Lucy every couple of mins or so,” Brinton said. “He says hi, walks with her awhile, and then he’s off again. She doesn’t appear to mind.”.
Lately, Lucy got out and went missing. Fortunately she wasn’t gone too long, and funnily enough, she strolled herself right to the sanctuary! Stranger than that, however, was the truth that Sully had not tagged along with her! So obviously they do not quite do everything together.
