When animal rescue teams received a call to assist the ailing owner of a distressed dog, they responded immediately.
However, upon their arrival, they faced an unexpected challenge. Lazarus, the dog, had been confined in a barn stall for a staggering six years.
The entry to the stall was blocked by layers of accumulated dirt and debris.

On reaching the stall, the rescuers were taken aback by the dire state Lazarus was in. His fur was so matted and grimy that he could barely move.
Without delay, Lazarus was brought to a grooming salon. Initially hesitant, he soon realized the relief that came with being groomed.
By the end, a staggering 33 pounds of fur had been removed, revealing a seemingly new dog beneath.

After spending a few weeks at the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, Lazarus found his forever home.
