The classic Disney tale of 101 Dalmatians came to life for Cecilia Langton Bunkergot, a Dalmatian breeder in Ballarat, Australia.
Her Dalmatian, Miley, astoundingly delivered 18 puppies at once, a rare and dreamy occurrence for any breeder, especially when all the puppies are hale and hearty.

Raising so many puppies simultaneously is no small feat, particularly for the mother who has the monumental task of nursing them.

Cecilia, with almost three decades of experience as a dog breeder, has always been dedicated to offering top-notch Dalmatians.
For her, breeding is not merely a business but a passion, evident from the many champion show dogs from her kennel, CC Dalmatians.

This dedication led her to pair Miley, owned by Jade Martin, with Astro Wonder Boy.
Throughout Miley’s pregnancy, both Cecilia and Jade were diligent in her care, including frequent vet visits. They initially believed Miley was expecting just three puppies.

Imagine their surprise, shared by the attending vets, when Miley delivered 18 pups!
Speaking to 9News, Cecilia recounted, “We assumed she was done at 16 after 13.5 hours… The last two arrivals set world and Australian records. The sheer number left us in awe.”
While Jade Martin initially wanted just one puppy for her daughter, Lulu, she ended up with a litter of 18. After Lulu’s pick, the rest found their place in Cecilia’s kennel.

Thankfully, each puppy is in pristine health. Both breeders humorously noted they wouldn’t be repeating this adventure with Miley anytime soon, despite her commendable mothering.
The heartwarming episode of the 18 puppies was short-lived, as each found a new home. Still, they’ll always be remembered as the remarkable batch of 18.
