Every mother exists for her children and strives to ensure they have everything they need for a happy childhood, and mother dogs are no exception, particularly those left to care for themselves and their pups.

In Chattanooga, Tennessee, a woman noticed a female Pit Bull near her home, unaware of the dog’s life story. Despite feeding her, the pittie yearned for something more.

Understanding the dog’s unmet needs, the woman’s heart ached for her, and she felt compelled to lend a helping hand.

Aware of the dog’s struggles, a woman noticed her feeding hungry puppies near the house. Without hesitation, she secured a comfortable place for them, but her capacity to help was limited.

Undeterred, she recorded a video of the mother nursing her pups and sent it to someone she believed could assist. Upon receiving the message, the compassionate rescuer wasted no time and promptly headed to the location.

When Audray Luck, founder of Luck’s Rescue, arrived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the mother dog leaped into her lap. Despite her hardships, she maintained a smile on her face, prompting Luck to name her Happy.

Happy once resided in a cozy home, but her owners abandoned her, forcing her to survive on her own. Shortly thereafter, Happy gave birth to seven puppies, single-handedly caring for them until she guided them to a nearby house where they were discovered by a compassionate woman.

“Happy just wanted to make sure that they got enough food and that they were healthy,” Luck told Cuddle Buddies. 

Moved by her unfortunate fate, Luck resolved to do everything possible to create a brighter future for both the mother dog and her offspring.

Fresh Start

Luck took swift action, promptly securing a foster home for the puppies while extending the stay for the mother.

“Happy was a little concerned. She was like “Where are my babies?”,” Luck said.

In no time, Luck found a foster home for Happy as well. There, the dog received an outpouring of love and affection, aiding her through these tumultuous life moments.

Luck, her rescuer, revisited with the most heartwarming surprise, restoring the recognizable smile to Happy’s face—reuniting her with her beloved babies brought overwhelming joy.

At a certain juncture, the mother and her offspring had to embark on separate paths to discover joy in their new lives. Fortunately, despite the challenges she faced, this mother dog retained an abundance of love in her heart.

“She’s been through so much in her life and yet like she’s still willing to give so much love,” Luck happily concluded.

Life had become a blessing once more, with only one compassionate soul standing between her and the happiest conclusion. Just as the benevolent woman from the start of this tale discovered her, there is no doubt that someone will recognize her beauty and provide her with everlasting happiness.
