Discovered roaming the streets hand in paw, the pair of pups, Poppy and William, appeared scarcely canine, their emaciated frames and nearly bare coats suggesting severe malnourishment.
Witnessing the distressing sight, concerned onlookers hastened to transport them to a nearby veterinarian, who subsequently facilitated their transfer into the protective custody of the RSPCA.
A Duo Destined for Better Days

Given the condition of these pups, there was a prevailing belief that they required extensive care. Despite receiving such care, uncertainties persisted about their chances of survival.
“It breaks our hearts to think back to when they were first rescued — they had been through so much trauma and were extremely withdrawn and depressed. It was clear they had been used for breeding and were likely no longer fulfilling their purpose before they were cruelly abandoned,” the worker at the RSPCA Kent Isle of Thanet Branch, Hannah White, said in a press release.

The assumption was widespread that these best friends faced an extensive road to recovery, yet they defied expectations.
The Transformation Begins
Three months later, they had transformed entirely, embodying the joy and vitality that every dog deserves to express.

“Today, they are full of beans and completely unrecognizable,” she added.
Both of these charming pups are flourishing, fully restoring not just their health but also their plush and silky coats.

Restoring their strength at a foster home, these pups are now in search of a forever home filled with love, where they can share every passing hour together.
“These two have been through so much together and are completely bonded — William has very poor sight, so Poppy acts as his guide dog as well as his companion; they are completely inseparable, so we’d like them to be adopted together,” concluded Hannah.
