Plymouth police officers found a dog trapped inside of a hot vehicle. The panting pooch had actually been in there for 2 hrs with no owner anywhere in view. The police officer didn’t hesitate the smash the window and rescue the canine’s life.
The canine was happy to be safe, however the owner was not pleased to later see his vehicle’s window smashed to items. A policeman explained that he had every right to do what was necessary as they feared the canine’s life was in risk.
The pup was turned over to the RSPCA and will be checked by a veterinarian. People that leave canines in hot vehicles can be charged with animal cruelty and also have their animals taken away after too many incidents.
