When we were kids, didn’t we all want a real Teddy bear?

Meet Bertram, the Pomeranian. He looks and feels like a real Teddy bear with his cute face, friendly nature, and soft brown fur.

But life wasn’t always easy for little Bertie. He knows what it’s like to feel unwanted. He was given away to a shelter when he was just 5 months old because he was “too big to sell”.

But when you see his face, how could you resist?

Kathy Grayson, an artist from New York, saw Bertie, then named ‘Jasper’, online. She traveled to Oklahoma to get him. Kathy shares pictures of Bertie on her Instagram.

But soon, people wanted to see more of Bertie than her art!

She made a separate account for him. And when she dressed him up like Paddington Bear, everyone loved it!

Bertie travels with Kathy often. He’s even been on TV shows like Good Morning America. Kathy told Bored Panda, “Bert makes people happy. The internet loves cute animals.”

“People visit the gallery just to see Bertie. They even bring their dogs to meet him,” Kathy shares.

When he’s not busy, Bertie loves playing, eating, and sleeping. “He’s calm, curious, and fun,” says Kathy.
